DJI has announced the Power 2000 Portable Power Station, a new compact but high-capacity energy source that delivers up to 2048Wh and supports a continuous 3000W output. The Power 2000 is aimed at users who need reliable power whether they’re at home, on the road or out on location for content production. It supports multiple charging methods and has an array of ports to connect everything from laptops and battery-chargers to coffee machines.

Measuring 40.6cm and occupying 32.6 litres, the DJI Power 2000 has been designed with portability and convenience in mind. It can be expanded by connecting up to ten additional 2048Wh batteries for a total of 22,528Wh, for extra cover when off-grid or during prolonged power cuts. With support for AC, USB-A, USB-C and dedicated SDC outputs, the unit is capable of running multiple devices at once.

Photographers and videographers working on location will appreciate its ability to recharge digital camera batteries up to 118 times, drone batteries up to 24 times and photography lighting equipment for 2.4 hours. It can also keep a laptop running through 18 recharges.

The DJI Power 2000 can power a Wi-Fi router for 152 hours, a lamp for 180 hours or a refrigerator for up to 40 hours. For cooking appliances, it can manage 2.4 hours of continuous rice cooker use and 2.6 hours for a microwave oven.

When camping or travelling, the Power 2000 keeps essentials like mobile phones charged 114 times, can run a car refrigerator for 38 hours and keep a camping light on for 64 uses.

The power pack can be recharged from zero to 80% in just 45 minutes via mains power. It also supports car and solar charging, and features an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) mode for emergencies. With remote control through the DJI Home app, users can monitor power use and adjust settings from a smartphone.

For safety, the Power 2000 has 26 temperature sensors, 21 fuses and a battery management system that helps prevent overheating and overcharging. Its lithium ferro phosphate battery is also built to last up to 10 years under regular daily use.
