I’m delighted to confirm that I’ll be heading back to Glencoe with outdoor photographer Emily Endean for another SheClicks photography workshop in the Scottish Highlands.

Running from 16–20 October 2026, this five-day, four-night workshop offers the perfect mix of learning, creativity and adventure. We’ll be joined by a small group of seven to fourteen women, all keen to spend time outdoors, develop their photography and enjoy a few days immersed in one of the most spectacular parts of the UK.

Why Glencoe?

October is a magical time to be in the Highlands. The autumn colours are usually at their best, the light is gentle and golden, and there’s every chance of waking up to misty mornings and dramatic skies. It’s an incredible opportunity to capture the mood and beauty of Scotland in full seasonal glory.

We’ll be based in Glencoe, surrounded by mountains, lochs and waterfalls. Expect to photograph locations such as Buachaille Etive Mòr, Glen Etive, Glencoe Lochan, Castle Stalker, Kilchurn Castle and the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Each place offers something different – from classic wide-angle landscapes to more intimate scenes and creative details.

This workshop isn’t about racing around ticking off viewpoints. Instead, we’ll take time to slow down, really look at the landscape and think about what draws us to it. You’ll come away with a stronger sense of how to develop your own photographic style, as well as a set of images that reflect your personal connection to the Highlands.

A Quick Note on Insurance

It’s compulsory to take out travel insurance - not just in case of emergencies while you're away, but also to protect you in case something happens before the trip that means you can’t come. It’s also worth checking that your camera equipment is covered, just to be on the safe side.
